WebThere are some issues with merchants getting stuck in various ways, but it doesn't happen to everyone all the time. WebMany have reported the same glitch. It seems merchants also tend to get stuck on the map never leaving but hanging around near the edge (check the unit list). Caravan never returns to mountainhome and there is no word from your fortress. They will not send another caravan, and migrants won't arrive.

Otherwise, friendly creatures don't set off traps (but wild animals do).
