My guess is that since it is intermittent, there is a limit to the number of shaping points the GPS unit will support. Every Garmin I have had has a limit on the number of waypoints that you can have in an autorouting. Web1. Control-click the route. 2. Click Get Info. 3. Control-click a via point. 4. Click Don't Alert on Arrival (shaping point) The shaping point will still be in the route but the alert information will not be given for this point.
