Players who are in primary or secondary school may be covered by the schools pupil insurance but should check with the schools directly to see if they are. WebAll registered club players are insured under the Catastrophic Injury category, which is funded by the club and subsidised by the IRFU. Players are encouraged to take out additional cover available under this scheme to protect against loss of earnings and medical expenses in the event of serious injury.
