If I’m on the receiving end, the file won’t be searchable within Teams (I assume since it’s on OneDrive vs. SP), and it won’t sync to my local machine. If I open in MS Word, sure I can edit, but I have to save a copy and then re-upload the whole document back into Teams, and then there's multiple copies flying around, which defeats the purpose of file sharing in Teams.
