If it was me, I would remove the folders and modify the view to show items in groups (you might need to create one more property to base the groups on. WebbI tried setting the properties of the C:/Users/%username%/Sharepoint/ directory so that the user can't delete files. This prevents accidental moves/deletions but it also stops Sharepoint from being able to remove or rename a file if it has been changed on the server, so it's not a workable solution.
