Webb17 feb. 2024 · No matter what caused the data source to be slow (the old technology, performance issues, slow connector, limitations, etc), it will cause the data refresh of the Power BI dataset to become slow. Even if you have an incremental refresh setup, it might not still help much, because sometimes the query folding doesn’t happen. Webb17 maj 2012 · Running a package in Visual Studio/BIDS/SSDT is slower, sometimes by an order of magnitude than the experience you will receive from invocation through SQL Agent/dtexec as it does not wrap the execution in a debugger. I'll amend this answer as I have time but those are some initial thoughts.
